I Went BACK to School!!

Today’s post is quite a special one for me. I’m fortunate enough to go back to my school and talk about Computer Science!

How did this Come About?

Technically, the idea of this came about 4 years ago.

The last day before the COVID lockdown, my teacher did say that anyone from our class would be more than welcome to come back and ‘give a talk’.

So in a sense, I knew that this was going to happen, one day.

Fast forward 4 years and I was actually able to meet one of my teachers in university and we eventually found a day to make it happen.

Why Did I Choose to Do it?

I was talking to someone about this opportunity and funnily enough, they said “other people would shy away from doing stuff like this”.

So why am I actually doing it?

It’ll be a fun opportunity to go back to school, explore my old classroom and meet some previous teachers.

It’s always good to share experiences with other people. I’m sure they can take something away from it.

I like ‘public speaking’ and this will be a great opportunity to do so.

I’ve just finished exams so I have free time.

What Was ‘the Plan’?

Create a presentation about “My Journey in Computer Science” and deliver it to multiple classes.

What Actually Happened?

It was honestly a great day.

So many memories.

Delivering the talks was successful.

Maybe I’ll be back again. Everyone was so friendly and it was a day well spent.
